Have you tired taking out the battery and leaving it out awhile? I mean, I know nothing about this but computers need rebooting every so often. Maybe if you let it shut down by removing it's power then power it back up a few minutes later?
I always reboot a computer before assuming it's broken.
Also, while it's shut down, you might try disengaging the lens and don't put it back on until after the camera has been powered back up? Then again, maybe the lens on the camera does not remove?
Again, I know nothing about your particular camera but it's simple stuff like this that often works with computers and cameras.
I would absolutely try removing the power supply, the battery, maybe recharge the battery or put in a fresh one.
