The key to doing stage photography is getting your setting right for the lighting and available light.

It can be a challenge with flashing lights in you your lens, but I have found most consistent result happen with 400Iso slide film pushed a stop in processing.

    It looks like you really used the lighting on the stage to your advantage. Were these both from the same show?

    no, different shows, and different venues.

    Looks like a hard light to shoot in. What lens are you using? wouldn’t a tripod help a little? Cool look on the 2nd one.

    You could but you would be limited to shot from one angle. Remebering your at a show you also need to stay out of peoples view. I’d never use a tripod and most stage photographers don’t your to static.
