Hi all,

Can you advise how I can sharpen this "soft" image in photoshop? Any step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated as I'm new to the whole process.

Thanks.

I would go into "smart sharpen" and correct for lens blur. Play with the sliders until you find a combo you like. Try for around 200-300% paying attention to any noise. Stay around .3-.75 on the pixel radius.

I rely on a few different actions...my favorite is titled defog and it does what it's name refers to...it lifts the fog off of digital images and sharpens them up 'just enough'.

For small pictures displaying on the internet I use Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen.
Due to compression into smaller sizes it's almost necessary because it's softening up.
If I sell a picture I always use CaptureNX to sharpen the image.
