It was raining today, and I was messing with my settings. These are dark but if I try to edit them, they will not look as I "saw it".

Thoughts and tricks for taking these type of pixs?

It depends on what you are trying to accomplish with your picture. If you are wanting to freeze the drop, then fire the flah and use a quicker shutter speed. If you are going for the blurred effect, you can use a 2-3 second shutter speed and a small flashlight. To make the drops stand out against the dark background you are going to need some more light on the drops.
