Someone help me please..... I can't find a picture editor with which I can save a lassoed object and transfer it on top of another image. Example, cutting out the face of person A with lasso, save this object, open another picture and superimpose the face of person A on face of person B.
I used to have such a wonderful program years ago, which was deleted when reformatting the HD. It was fantastically good and did such a trick with ease.....
I;ve been trying to find a solution for the past 2 hours and am giving up now, all frustrated......

please let us know your operating system - is it apple or windows or linux- Gimp is a free tool than can easily do as you suggest (www.gimp.org), but I think that even windows paint can do what you are asking, just does not have layers, which makes it easier, although it is still possible.
Let us know if gimp accomplished what you wanted - runs on most os and is quite good in its additional functions.
If you are wanting to purchase something , then there are loads of image editing software out there.

What type of machine are you using? Do you have access to adobe photoshop? I use an older version but it does the trick. I also use the pen tool instead of the lasso but either way, you can paste to another picture without a problem. It also uses layers.
