Well it has rained all week long and the weekend too, so it must bring something.

So how about this? The rain let up this afternoon for a short bit and allowed me to get out of the house for at least a minute or two, to find these growing along the foundation.

Looking and walking around the lawn a bit more, beneath the Gray Dogwood, which will be flowering here in the next couple of days, I found this beautiful blue Hyacinth growning up. Ain't life good!

Excellent pictures - I love the 2nd one. I am always astounded by the clarity your shots have - something I am trying to get, but just cannot accomplish yet.

Fast shutter speeds @ 1/200 sec, small aperature around or between f/14 and f/10, plus a diffused flash is what I use the most. Plus either ISO 100 or 400, I seldom stray from those two. For me, digital cameras are very susceptable to any vibration, no matter how small. Sometimes I will shoot at 1/125 sec. and have them turn out pretty good but at other times they are soft, probably to me jabbing the shutter button instead of gently pressing down on it. Anticipation is a big factor in that too, being too eager to get the shot before something changes or, in my case most of the time, it flies away.

Thanks Charkra

I really like those shots, the second one looks like bluebells to me hehe but then I'm quite ignorant with things like this

I think if the green blade of grass (?) wasn't there on the left hand side it would enhance the photo but thats my own opinion

Probably noticing that, I thought nothing of it but now come to think of it, you are probably right there Droppey, it would be better without it.

Thanks Droppey
