Let me help everyone out or even just a few.
Some people may not understand the idea behind
"Panning technique" showing speed.
What is Panning technique?
On a moving subject, using a slightly slower shutter speed than normal, keeping your subject on target and
Move with your subject (or
"Pan" with your subject) This (if done right

) will keep your subject in focus but smear your background. Don't feel bad if you don't get it right on the first shot, it takes practice. That is why it's called a Challenge

But why not try it out for fun. What about some of you old time users too. hehe
This link should give you some good idea of the Panning technique, plus it gives some very good example images.
