Firstly, let me say that I'm glad to have found a forum in which we as photographers can share examples of our work, as well as joining in discussion about photography, across such a broad and meaningful set of topics as the photographyboard.net member base does, in fact, engage about.

Then, to be perfectly honest, and perhaps to indicate something about my expectations, as towards this feature request: I came looking for a forum site when I got tired of the triviality of discussions in the SuicideGirls.com "Photography" group. One nice thing about SG, though, is how they present their members' photo galleries -- each individual shot is displayed at full size, on the screen, with the background all greyed out, at that point. I'm sure they're using JavaScript for this. I'll offer an example, with my member profile over there: http://www.suicidegirls.com/members/NadirByte

With that in mind, I was wanting to post a feature request, for that a member to photographyboard.net may be allowed to define individual, distinct "galleries" within the photos that the member has uploaded.

I think it would more closely approach the conventional presentational mode of photography -- like, I mean, for that a collection of a person's photos would be displayed as a collection within a gallery if not in a museum.

I don't mind the more "raw" approach to it, here, but I could like to be able to make a more formal manner of presentation for the photos, such I've uploaded to the full photo album, here -- such that are visible within my member profile, then.

Thanks, looking forward to getting more involved with this community

Hi Gimmal,

Wow, from SuicideGirls to PhotographyBoard.net... That's a heck of a leap. Keep in mind that this place isn't as freewheeling as SG. Any photos that show epidermal tissue might cause some coronaries. Any mention of "donkey punches" may well cause some heads to explode.

KA-BOOM!

Oops, there goes one now.

Anyhow, welcome aboard.

Hm. Heheh.

I appreciate the reputation of SG, but I'm not a photographer there, in that way. Actually, I once knew a girl who eventually became a model at SG. There are *some* photos there that I regard as verifiably artistic (end quote). Then, there's the meat-market stuff, true.

It's a complex psychology over there. The aesethetic of the site, if one can find any single aesthetic to it, might be equivalently complex, may I say.

Here I go, again, playing "the devil's advocate" muhahah.

Anyway, glad this site is here,

-- Sean

Gimmal, welcome here Thank you for all the compliments as well. These go straight to our members and our members decided this is a family-site - and thus that's the way 'we' like it I had never heard of suicidegirls

Anyway to come back to your request. All photos you upload also show on your profile-page. Unfortunately there is no such option with this software to create individual albums. I am really sorry about that, but, on the other hand, you have people see all of your photos the moment they click on your profile
