This is a relatively small flower, I cannot remember what kind it was but I do remember shooting it through the dissecting microscope. It turned out quite well I think.

This is very cool. Backlit subjects might make a good photo challenge sometime.

Thanks Greg, Steve This one was illuminated from the sides with a dual pipe fiber optic, cold halgoen illuminator. Full intensity is at about 150W though I seldom go above 50% of that, mostly less than. There is no heat or UV in that type of set up. Great for not blinding, killing or cooking things that you photograph using it.

I agree it did turn out really well. It almost looks like the the anther is kind of glowing. Very nicely done!!
