let me introduce myself. . .

I just signed up after finding you through a Google search for info on selling on consignment. You look like a friendly bunch, so instead of lurking I decide to join up. I am a writer/photographer and have done most of my work in the subject of horses. But I love photographing the scenery of eastern and coastal North Carolina, where I have lived most of my life.

I don't have a digital SLR YET! I hope this will be the year I can afford to buy one. So, I'll be watching your posts on the pros and cons of the various brands and models.

Welcome aboard, I definitely am looking forward to seeing some horses - Do you cover many equestrian events like showjumping, etc or really just any where and any place. I used to play a sport called "polox" (like Lacrosse , but on horseback) - was fantastic, fast paced and hard work - I swear the horses enjoyed it more than we did. Primararly quarter horses though , not too many thoroughbreds.

Anyways hope you enjoy being an active member here, hope you will be able to get a DSLR soon - I have loved mine since day one, will never go back

I photographed the Outer Banks wild horses in Corolla when I was at the beach a couple of weeks ago. I have some of those pics on my Facebook pages. I'll try and get some posted here in a day or so. Working tonight
