Sorry It's taken me a bit to post this.

You know how they say a picture is worth 1000 words, it's because of feelings, I want to feel the images for this month. You can take any three images you want, just make the viewer feel it.

The June Challenge is make the viewer feel the image. examples: cry, laugh, sad, joy, love, hate, happiness, hurt, peace, worry, hope, hopeless etc... "feel the image"

A image may have more than one feeling that the viewer may feel the more the better (my 02ยข). Haven't decided if I will post what the viewer should feel until voting time to see if the photographer did the job making you feel the image. They don't have to have people in the shot to have feelings, think about it, have fun.

3 Photo limit. Photo's must be taken during the Month of June, 2009.
Please submit to this email address, Also please include your user name (and What the viewer should feel) in the email
thank you.

My camera has been hiding in it's bag for a few weeks now - I will need to charge the battery again for this next challenge. I know Fathers day is coming up and I also know I am getting a macro lens (Yea one of the kids let it slip. ) I know we just had the macro challenge , but that ain't gonna stop me from playing in a couple of weeks - Any clues on what this next one will be, I was very pleased to see how many pictures were had for the last one, so I hope the momentum keeps rolling

Looking forward to the challenge ...

Great concept, Stari! I've got mixed feelings about stating what the intended feeling is. But we're judging the photographer not just on the picture, but whether the photographer has achieved the desired goal -- to convey the feeling. So I'd vote for saying the the intended feeling of the picture is (or are, in case of multiple feelings). But we should discourage people from just laying out a laundry list of feelings in hopes of accidentally getting it right on one of those feelings. Maybe we should limit it to two or three feelings, and if the picture misses on one or more of the feelings, it should somehow count against the submission.

good topic but the feelings are subjective
we should skip including the intended feeling in the submission but that is just me for what its worth

This is proving to be quite a difficult task for me, especially to capture that emotion or feeling. It is although quite amazing how I start to notice different expressions on peoples faces now that I am looking for it. Although I have to admit that having a camera at the same time is very rare, and when I do have the camera, people appear to be very self conscious and protected of their demeanor.

Emotion or Feeling in a image dose not have to be people but it can be. As an example a sunset could show peace or solitude, or a dog at a gopher hole waiting for it to pop it head out could be "patience or anticipation". Or you could think of the 7 deadly sins, just an idea.

It doesn't have to be emotions as long as there is feeling in the image. As a Viewer the image makes me feel.... etc... They may not come up with the same word you picked that is ok, if they feel something close.

As an example if I showed a couple in love with their eyes glassed over the viewer should feel something like love, happiness, hope, joy, etc.. and not just a blah no feeling image or a feeling that is not like the image like hate, anger etc...
Hope people understand the idea

Ah great - I had not looked at it from that perspective, thanks for the heads up on that one, I will broaden my outlook now and hopefully get some submissions in - I see there are not many days left to get it done.
Thanks again
