ok so as anyone from he states knows. the 4th of july is coming up fast! now ive never taken pictures of fireworks ever! dont know why but just havent. so my questions are....am i going to need a tripod?(most likley?) ideal ISO setting? and how to focus? auto focus wont focus fast enough. and manual focus is going to be tricky because its hard to get a sharp pic of somthing moving....i need suggestions please. i have a HUGE firework show to go to and id like to walk away with ome decent pictures.

You got it right, you do need a tripod, plus you will need to set your focus on Manual (just set your focus on a subject the same area before it gets dark ) ISO should be lower to get a good slow shutter speed (lets say start around 1/30 of sec and go down from there (it depends on how much trailing you like)
