Hello !
I have a 100-300mm Af Minolta lens that fits on my Minolta Dynax 404si 35 mm camera, and im wondering if i could buy a body that is Digital that i could attach it to, and if thats even possible.
And im also wondering if it whould necessarily have to be from Minolta, im afraid i cant afford $1800 for their Dynax housing, and im not even sure if it whould have to be a Dynax, or minolte product period...
I need help here i love taking pictures with my old school Sony cybershot and i have an even older Olympus, they both are awesome but i whould like to be able to figure out if i can get some sort of digital body for my big lens of the 35 mm cam...
please help me out!
perhaps you can also tell me a place to look for deals...

You might want to look at the Sony cameras. Sony bought Minolta's camera business a few years ago

I would try and get to a Sony retailer. They would be the best to tell you if you could mate taht lens with any of their Sony Bodies

My Minolta Maxxum 3XI is considerably older, any chance as finding a digital body that would fit it?

I have a Minolta Dynax spxi with a few Sigma AF lenses - the sony alpha range fits them all.
I have now bought an alpha 200 - it is brilliant.
Note however, the sensor in the alpha makes the lens 1.5x longer, so a 100mm lens is 150mm etc. This is a bonus and only a problem if you want wide angle.

I have a minolta SRT 102 body which is not woking. I have a 1:1.2 LENSE and other telephoto, wide angle, macro lenses. Is there a digital minolta body that I can buy to take the old lenses. The body takes a bayonet type. thank you

The older Minolta MD lenses (from the SR/SRT or X series) will not fit a Sony digital body directly. There are adapters on the market and on ebay that will adapt your lens to a Sony body. You will lose all of the auto functions of the camera however. You will have to use manual focus and manual exposure. Maybe aperture priority, I'm not sure on that one.
