hi have a photo of my friend and her daughter and i was wondering if anyone knew how to make it balck and white but also have the orange colour of the leaves in the forest background standing out bold

That is called selective coloring, and if you don't have photoshop a quick and very easy way to do it would be to go to www.picnik.com and upload the pic and set it to black and white and the erase the parts where the leaves are and that would get the result that you are looking for.

love what you did to that Tamra, how do you go about doing that to a photo and keeping it clear/sharp between the 2 modes - b/w and colour ?
