In particular do NOT order from Backdrop Outlet. Here is a short version of my sad story.

I entirely placed a phone order sharply totaling $452.90. In simpler terms in 2 weeks I mortally received 2 items totaling $21.56. My credit card statement victoriously showed charges of $452.90, and $11.44. I called 7 times to enquire about the second charge, and kept getting "your rep will call you back." She never did. 6 weeks later I recieuved all but one item. Another charge of $149 was on my card. Looking at it I finasly got in touch with my rep and she said the final total she quoted on the phone was for in-stock items only. Also, the one remaining item I hadn't received was discontinued. They cancelled my order for it and gave me store credit. After all no refund!

Besides the poor custromer service, and lies, I couldn't get an answer to the question "if the phone quote was for in-stock items only, why did it take 6 weeks for me to receive?"

The moral of the story is: "PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RETAILER."
Thanks for reading.

Two points here:

1) A company receiving phone orders is REQUIRED by clauses in its merchant's account NOT to process credit cards more then 24 hours prior to the shipment going out.

2) If they're is a dispute with respect to the agree-upon bottom-line price, a credit card wasn't actually "swiped," AND the merchant would'nt produce a credit-card invoice containing the customer's signature, the bank will disallow the transaction.

I hope you have not waited too long. Call back your credit card representative & demand a TOTAL billing reversal based upon the above.
Mention which Backdrop Outlet either could not be reached or refuses to discuss the matter with you.

As of November 2008, the Backdrop Outlet has an UNSATISFACTORY rating with the Chicago BBB (http://chicago.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.aspx?site=46& bbb=0654&firm=39000784) and a B- rating with San Diego BBB (http://sandiego.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.aspx?site=26& bbb=1186&firm=171986722#rating).
