hi all.
i just get myself a yamashica gsm electro 35m.
i heard its a pretty good and affordable camera.

just wanted to ask sum q.
can i shoot a picture without using a battery inside this cam? i mean, i went through a brief in the internet that said it still can take pics, but only the fastest speed is, if im not wrong, 1/500th per sec. now, i dont event understand what does that means.
sorry, a newbie here..

anyway, i will be really thankful if its true, , coz if not i have just wasted 1 roll of film.

okay, and 1 more,
will it be problem if the shutter doesn't click twice after we took 1 pic? u know, theres this guy from the cam shop stated that, originally the shutter will have to be turned twice, one is like 1/4 of it, and the other is a full turn.
and again, mine cant be turned twice.

ANYWAY, thats just a few questions that i would really be happy if sumbody are there to answer.

THANKS IN ADVANCE,
cheers,
ndr

Are you talking about an infared camera? I googled the name you have and came up with a lot of stuff that doesn't say anything about the camera.. Do you have a model #? We need more details.. Your best bet is to contact the manufacturer..

Want to add.. The film for infrared is very unstable and needs to be kept cold thru purchase, use and processing..

Hi. thanks everyone for the feed back.
the type is YASHICA.. (holy molly..i just realized i typed YAMASHICA!) pardon me. the brand is Yashica,
Yashica Electro 35 Gsm a range finder camera to be spesific.
it came out in the late 70's if im not wrong..

another question from me:
i went through quiet a'lot of it's article..
and most of it says they use a 6 Volt substitute battery. but, i use a 3v plus a Varta V 65 U and it works! though... im really not sure whether it works fine or not.. anyone knows about this camera? or happen to found an article or share the same camera?

will be happy to find more infos bout this cam..

cheers
